Oh dear, I hope you have some calamine cream it is not so cold as the lotion. I hope that you don't get it, my daughter had chicken pox at 6 months and
then when she was 5 she had shingles and so the whole class had chicken pox, I was popular, as the doctors did not know why she had a rash and said she was OK
to go to school.
Hope it soon stops hurting |

Oh dear hope your daughter feels better soon. If she's very itchy give her Piriton - that's what the doctor recommended when my grandaughter had it.

Hi I caught it when I was 48, very very unpleasant your daughter has my simpathy. The best relief I found was Piriton tablets and lots of baths at body just
above luke warm temperature with Oilatum in the water. I'm sure you can get Junior Oilatum.
Good luck, and I hope for your sake you have already had the Poxy Chickens. (sorry that's what the doctor called it when I had it) The older you are the longer it takes to recover from it unfortunately. |

I think chicken pox is one of the most horrible things you can get, that itching drives you crazy. I had it when I was about 25 and got some cream from the
doctors which stopped the itching instantly. Unfortunately i can't remember what it was called as it is a long time ago (lol)
I hope your daughter is better soon and that you don't catch it Sarah hugs Claire xx |

My son was only eight months when he caught it from his brother and sister. Like Sunshine's daughter he took it again when he was three.
He was covered in spots and I could only wash him gently. As he was recovering I realised I had been carefully putting calamine lotion on a lump of dried weetabix
Hope you don't catch them Cadey. Hugs to your daughter. Alison |

That's right it is chickenpox time again - seems to be doing the rounds here as well, hope that you did have it when you were younger. My three had it all
at once just before Christmas, the boys were not too bothered by it but my 9 yr old daughter was so ill - never seen so many spots, she even had them on her
eardrums!!
Good luck, plenty of calamine and piriton seems like a good idea Kate x |
