I'm thinking of getting one of these. Where is the best place (I know Joanna doesn't have them so I won't get in to trouble for asking
) to buy one?

Paul wrote this on another thread - it might be what you are after
Quote: Do Crafts do a glass cutting mat for about £9.99 and it is 13" x 13" but the one I have is by EK Success and I paid around £18 for it! Suzanne |

I cheat and use a glass table mat - probably not as good as the mats designed specifically for cutting but then again I only paid 99p for it so can't
complain, it's about A4 size completely smooth I would have nicked the A3 glass chopping board from my kitchen but it has the hammer finish LOL. I do find
it much easier than using a craft mat especially for detail cutting. Gail

Iuse a bog standard dirt cheap white ceramic tile, in fact I have loads of them for different uses. Paul suggested I might like to tile the bathroome with
them!!

Smooth glass chopping board from any of the supermarkets or £ shops, try & get one without the lil feet. Then use it on top your old cutting mat,
you'll still have guidelines but cups of coffee will no longer leave a large and unremoveable bump

I would have nicked the A3 glass chopping board from my kitchen but it has the hammer finish LOLI use the cutting board from the kitchen it's hammered but smooth on the underneath so i took the feet and backing of and re stuck the feet on to the hammered side and i can see the lines from my cutting mat underneath it Carol x |

I have the do crafts one because I scrapbook as well and it is perfect for 12x12 papers. It does seem to make a big difference as to the smoothness of the
cutting
