Sorry to hear the news. it's horrible. It's the sense of uselessness, helplessness and not the knowing what or if you're next. Joanna's right -
no-one in management ever tells you what's going on, and if they do it all turns out to be half truths at best or out and out lies. Fingers crossed it
stops soon.

my son is in the reserves ,the 9th parachute regiment,he started a new job last september.from the start of his interview he told them he would need weekends
and a day in the week off,they said it is no problem,now they have said he has to make a choice,either his job or his career.i thought that if you were in the
reserves that your employer had to let you have time off to go to your regiment.

I was listening on the news but no mention of redundancies anywhere. Is it so common now its not even mentined.. Tough times. We have experienced it twice.
Horrendous when you have a young family and a morgage especially.
