I had the big shot and sold it to my friend because I bought a wizard and to be fair after I got used to the wizard 'I love
it' when I first got it I had problems with the rollers not engaging the handle didnt seem to crank but I soon found my way round that by giving the handle
a little wiggle then it clicked and off I went now I have no problems, it flattens bottle tops with ease and other embossing plates and dies work fine in it, I
love the cuttlebug folders for embossing and they work extremely well in the wizard so for me personally its the wizard.

I had a wizard and found it quite difficult to use. something went wrong with the ratchet mechanism, so I returned it to my branch of Craft Central. They
refunded my money and I bought a Cuttlebug (which was cheaper!!). It's great - so easy to use and feels much steadier because it clings by suction to the
worktable when it is open. The dies and embossing folders are also much cheaper than those for the wizard and you can use most other makes of dies as well.

I love my Wizard! The cuttlebug embossing folders are just amazing and brass stencils emboss a treat too.
If you can get to a Craft Central outlet they have all the die cutting machines available for demonstration on request. |

On the same theme, I have the old sizzix monster which in all honesty I have not used for at least 3 years. Am finding it difficult to find dies for it. I have
seen dies I'd like to try but they are for the wizard & cuttlebug, does anyone know if they would work on the sizzix?
I guess I could contact the company direct and see if they have updated the original selection (this was a TSV). Any suggestions please/ EuniceX |

There's an adapter you can buy for the sissex that will allow you to use other brands of dies Eunice. I dont think there's any way that you can get
the embossed effect from the spellbinders die though.

I love my cuttlebug. It is so easy to use and nice and compact to store. The dies and embossing folders are lovely and very reasonably priced. I use it such a
lot and wouldn't be without it. I have tried the Wizard and found it to be much heavier and more cumbersome and nowhere near as easy to use. Some of the
dies are lovely though, but so expensive.
Hope you get what you want. Regards. Lynne. X |

I have just got a slightly used wizard and a heap of dies for a bargain price. Love the dies, especially using mirror card ,and although the plates do shoot
out quick and hard, the results are spectacular. I have also got a ZipeMate which I purchased just prior to it being discontinued. Thank goodness I was
searching through craft forums and discovered this quickly, as I ended up sending to America to purchase a supply of mats etc before they were all gone. I tend
to use this with the sizzix dies mostly, and the cuttlebug embossing folders, as they rolling action is quite easy on my arms. I love having the two machines to
alternate between in my crafting sessions.
