Trouble is people buy the CD, copy it for themselves and then sell on the original to get their money back.......... which isn't illegal as far as I know.
There are bound to be several more on there over the next few days. Must be very frustrating to Sharon & Joanna though.

I think that its not actually legal to copy it for yourself and then sell on the original as for the copying of the wording can Joanna/Sharon get it pulled
because its a breach of their interlectual property (or something like that!) I know some of the other major brands sold of ebay so that if a picture or
wording of their item is copied from theri website they have them pulled - go sharon do your stuff!!!

As far as I'm aware, there is nothing illegal in making a back up copy of a disc for your own personal use. I'm sure Sharon will correct me if I'm
wrong though. No reason either that the person may perhaps have installed the disc on their PC and then sell the original........... I'm not condoning what
they are doing though.
C xx Just found this which answers it I think: "First, the act of copying the CD for personal backup is legal ONLY if the CD does not have any form of copy protection on. The fair use exception is quite narrow, but it does allow copying a CD for personal backup. However, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act makes it illegal to circumvent copy protection for any reason. Many CD's are copy protected (even though computers often don't recognize the protection), and many others are not." So you can copy an unprotected disc for your own use but not a protected one. I don't know if Joanna's discs are protected as I've never tried to copy one (wouldn't know how! Lol) but again, I'm sure Sharon can let us know.

If you check out her feedback and history of items sold it is quite shocking reading!
She sold some Helping Hands Templates ?, probably sold the Originals ,
for as follows:-
Ornate Door template............... £26 Wardrobe template ......... £26 Bay Window template..............£29 They all went to the same person, poor thing, who mustn't realise
the true prices! Only £6.99 each on Joanna's website, and free P&P! I would love to email the buyer.
Would love to email the other bidders too and redirect them to a better supplier! It's that 'Sold out on C&C that does it!' love elaine xx |

I thought that you could only copy a cd as a backup if you owned the original - so if the fraud office raided her house today she would be covered as she has a
backup and the original.
Next week after she has sold the CD, she would have counterfeit goods in her posession and there for it is illegal Sarah xxx |

You can actually make a working copy of a cd for yourself but
You must own and keep the original, if you get rid of or sell the oriiginal then the copy you have is an illegal copy as you no longer own the rights to the original so cant legally use the copied one. confusing I know but hope it makes sense. |
