I have done many crafts from a young age as my Mum and Gran were great crafters of the sewing and fine work - so I have picked up from them - I loved Cross stitch which lead me to find cards to put some small work in and it took off from there - then about 4-5 years ago my Mum had a Christmas card with a simple Christmas tree embossed on the front - a very small one but it looked classy so we set about buying a few bits
as we thought it would be cheaper than buying Christmas cards - but now know that`s not true but it is so much more fun making and sending your own
Still I then gave Mum all my bits I had collected as I was working full time and didn`t have the time but then picked it back up a year later when I was making Announcement cards and Christening cards for Erin - I loved it as I had time on my hands when I left work and before Erin was born
( Daisy Green will testify to the work that now I wouldn`t ever send out ) it was a lovely diamond shaker card with pink and blue safety pins in but I used cellotape to fix the back as I didn`t cover it over - still we all have to learn
As Erin was sleeping a lot during the day I then got introduced to C&C and the rest is history I was hooked - found Joanna Secret Garden Cd which was great for making Wedding Samples and then Victorian Christmas came out and was great to play with some ideas for the Christmas Table and I made large Christmas Cracker for the table - after this I started making samples and have the best fun ever and what with the forum and all the wonderful things it brings with it too
Sorry that was a bit long winded - but nice to write and remember why it all started
