Linda
you have my sympathy - my gardening is way behind this year - it has just been so wet. I am still suffering for my weeding endeavours last week! Why is it that the plants you want to grow don't, the plants you aren't so fussy about take over and smother the ones you want to grow - and as for the weeds .............. anybody would have thought I had put fertiliser on them! I've learned the same lesson Linda, i've just finished wrestling with the weeds and although i think I've won I have some war wounds - those
nettles were'nt going to give in gracefully and I just know that now my backs turned they'll be planning to come back!!
Good luck tomorrow Linda Claire xx |

been wrestling with the weeds here too Linda, but not too bd as most of my plants now in pots on patio and seperate section
all gravel, sooooo much easier ,..not got a huge garden to contend with, and a large chunk of that is taken up with tiggy's massive trampoline,....which
reminds me if I've got any energy left later must go out and have a bounce ,....such a beautiful day here today that I don't really mind being in the
garden ,...we 'vehad such mucky weather here recently in fact it's a pleasure to get outside ,...makes a change from h*******k..

Hi linda, you're definately not alone in this. Spent Friday and Saturday getting to grips with the front and back gardens, they were such a disgrace, now
they look lovely. Mind you, OH cut the grass on Thursday/Friday, in between Coastguard call outs and the back grass will need cutting in a couple of days
again.

Know exactly how you feel, can someone please tell the grass it is only supposed to grow on the lawn and not in all the flower beds as well. also think every
dandelion in the world has come to settle in my garden Just come in for a cool down and it is really hot out there, yes in the North of Scotland its hot!!.
Definately need to get to grips with the garden this year and tackle the problems, we have a fence between us and the field that is only wire so the grass and
the weeds grow straight through it so think we need to do something about that and regravel the path and then hopefully want have to spend so much time
weeding.
Okay rant over, my tulips are looking lovely!!!!!!!!!1 Julie |
