did anyone watch this drama on ITV Sunday & Monday about a violent storm actually breaching the Thames flood barrier? Thought it was good but didn't
expect to have dreams about it last night!
Must have been very good to
have that effect!

We did watch it but there were a lot of things not well thought out.

what irritated me was the ending - if they knew 1 air tank wasn't enough to keep the professor alive in that flooded room - why didn't he take 2 air
tanks or 1 that was big enough?

I thoroughly enjoyed it? You know what I mean? It was fantastic, well made and the first thing I have been interested in enough to sit and watch for a while
now!
So much purile rubbish on normally.
We kept saying about the extra oxygen tanks too, and why weren't all of the people going into tall buildings to the top etc? There were some weak spots, but we thought it was great TV for a change! love elaine xx |

Watched the first part (well bits of it) but was annoyed at some of the stupid things in it. Gave up after that.

What made me laugh was that the Charring Cross area was all under water, yet it was quite some time before the water came along the tracks. The underground is
all open, so it would have come through the doors and down the stairs.

Surrounded by tall buildings, told to get to high places yet running along the streets? And when bloke in car trying to get out why was he kicking the doors -
um glass windows go up and down or smash! lol.

We watched it and thought it was good but there was an awful lot of standing around 'thinking' with no apparent action or dialogue. We kept saying to
the TV 'Get a move on then - time is of the essence.'

I watched it and enjoyed it, but what made me laugh was that at the end of both episodes, the announcer said something on the lines of that if we'd been
bothered by similar circumstances, here was a phone number to ring!

I watched and enjoyed it , one thing though is that I can remember when they built the barrier ,
people where saying that something like that could happen and tried to stop it being built . What with all this global warming makes you wonder if something like that could really happen , I only live about 10 mins away from the barrier , do you think that I should practise my swimming lol harmony |

I really enjoyed it, thought the special effects were wonderful, very chilling seeing London submerged like that. I felt the acting was great, what a wonderful
cast, and very unstated in parts, which is how professionals would act in an emergency. But... it was what I call 'good rubbish'

Only watched the first part and got a bit bored - Peter hates camera work that whizzes round and kept complaining. I found it a bit slow - I expect the second
part was better but I forgot about it!

I watched some of the first part because I was flicking through channels when David Suchet said, angrily, "But what about Arbroath?"
Not a phrase you hear very often on TV drama

We watched it but thought there were lots of 'holes' in the story line. I think the Beeb would have done it better. I always get sick of the adverts
on ITV, that's why we often record things, like Midsummer Murders, and watch them later so we can cut the adverts out.

Actually found it so full of flaws that I lost interest in watching after the storm breached the Thames Barrier. How could they survive being in that water for
more than a couple of minutes etc etc ?!! It turned out to be just another of those disaster movie type programmes.
Big shame as the message it could have carried so well was missed in all the silliness, IMHO. Judy C |
