Definitely the trick is only to add the oil a dribble at a time.

best of luck Katrina - I used to make it regularly, but confess it is Hellerman's light these days!

easy peasy - when made with a food processor, made in a moment - main problem is it doesn't last long and needs eating fast as it's raw egg - whereas
hellmans lasts ages
I have posted the recipe in the cookery section becuase you know what that Katrina is like about posting in the right place grins Joanna |

Your the only one who could get away with a remark like that Joanna - anyone else would be out on the naughty step. I do agree that it is very easy to make - I
use one of those stick blenders but again only do so for bigger gatherings as it doesn't keep like the stuff in a jar. Using olive oil is better than other
oils from a healthy point of view.
Good luck Katrina but sure Jake will lick up any spillages!!LOL Hugs Marion W |

have made it in the past -in a food blender I think (so long ago I can't remember!). It was nice but I preferred the salad cream I also made - a cooked
recipe I did in a double boiler and it was really yummy!!

Home made definitely tastes better ! I used to like Helmans, but stopped buying it the minute they went in for plastic bottles. Plastic corrupts the flavour.
At least with home made you are guaranteed freshness and quality ingredients, and it could not be easier to make. You can safely adjust the quantity of oil if
it bothers you.

There is one thing against making your own - the washing up afterwards! so much easier to rinse out the jar when it is empty!
