I have just received the Victorian Romance CD, but when I try to view an image, a box pops up with the dialogue can't open, I have tried with other CDs
and they are ok.

This sounds like either a file association problem - this is how windows knows which program to open which file or maybe your adobe reader is not
working properly. If you have tried to update adobe reader with out first uninstalling you current adobe reader then this can cause file association
problems. Also sometimes other programs rob the file associations.
Next goto "My Computer"
RIGHT CLICK your cdrom icon
Then LEFT CLICK on OPEN
You will see some yellow folders and some files
Look for the file that says COPYRIGHT and RIGHT CLICK it Then LEFT CLICK
on PROPERTIES
A new window will open with the properties of the file - look at it and
where it says OPENS WITH it should read Adobe Reader beside it - if it does NOT read Adobe Reader then click on the change button.
Then click on Adobe Reader in the recommended programs and then click on OK - Then Click
APPLY and OK from the window underneath.
Once this is done close all the little windows down - eject the
cdrom, wait a few seconds and try the cdrom again.
If that fails then try uninstalling adobe reader from the computer by going to the windows control panel and then if using windows XP simply install adobe reader from disk - this will put a fresh copy of adobe reader on to your computer and hopefully solve the problem. If using windows Vista then after removing your current adobe reader go to www.adobe.com and download and install a fresh copy of adobe reader 8. But try the file association solution first as this is most likely reason Hope that helps
