Thanks to CarolPG and others for asking how we are
News is of course in regard to Scott,
i) first of all i would like to say that Scott is well within himself and acting like anyone else of his eage
ie walking round furniture, climbing and falling of the sofa banging his head -normal boys stuff
ii) the chemo planned for last week did not go ahead as his immune system had not recovered (ie was neutrapenic),
so instead we were given a clinic appointment for today to see his consultant,
iii) this next bit i feel a like reserved about, the operation will not be going ahead
-his blood pressure is now normal and he is off both medications
-he is now tolerating dairy foods
-the chemical secreted by the adrenal gland although is not yet at normal levels but is decreasing each time nearer to normal
-his little bit of hair he had grown before the last chemo has now fallen out so back to hats and factor 30 in this weather
-blood pressure checks are to be done now weekly instead of each week day
-he still has to have base line tests to end his treatment (mibg and ct scan)
-a close eye is to be kept on him and our next appointment for the consultant is in 4 weeks
-a back up plan of intensive chemo, radiotherapy, operation (any or all 3) is still available if needed
