I have also been using collal glue recently and before that, dst . Sometimes I used it like Jacqueline, just peeling back a small amount, and other times I
take off all the backing and rub over with a white glue stick - then I can move the piece if necessary (I'm so good at putting the mats down crooked first
time).
I also use the glue stick on the back of foam squares before placing decoupage pieces in case I need to move things slightly. Hope this tip helps you. Janet
