Hi all,
Having read through lots of your comments on this thread i sympathise with each and every one of you. Im like most of you im sure done the Weight Watchers, Cambridge Diet,
Cabbage Diet, Slimming World, had Orlistat from the doctors with dire repercussions and have spent an absolute fortune over the years. So last year i took the bull by the horns
and looked into the possibility of having a Gastric band fitted, my weight at that time was 16st 11lb. After lots of research and thinking and discussion with the hubby I made an
appointment to see a surgeon and on Feb 2nd 2007 the job was done. Here i am now 15 months later and 5 stone lighter and it was the best thing i could ever have done.......
Of course the down side to this is if the NHS won't entertain you you have to consider going private, it cost me £7500 (ouch), oh well, thank god i had an insurance policy coming
out just at the right time.
Im now looking into having the excess saggy skin taken off my stomach, definately not something to take lightly but will be the icing on the cake now if i go ahead with it.
Good luck to all you ladies who i know will be trying so hard.
Ruthy
xx
