i have an epson DX8400 and because i ran out of ink i replaced the cartridges but now it won't print grrrr

I don't have this printer Irene but have you checked the usual things - cartridges firmly in and the tabs removed from them? Just a thought, hopefully
somebody may be able to come up with a solution.

yes i checked those immediately suppose i will have to try and uninstall it and then install it again but with my track record that could be dicey lol

Did you use Epson cartridges or compatibles - some Epson printers - and mine is one of them - don;tlike compatibles.

oh that could be it then as i used compatibles oh bother will have to rush and get some more before the heavenlyh cards cd rom arrives

I have had trouble with the same printer today. The blue ran out and replaced it but then the black wouldn't work. Trying to get this working I wasted
the ink in the yellow and pink and had to put in two blacks before I had success. I use compatibles as the epson ones don't seem to last five minutes.

I use originals and they last for ages - I would not put compatibles into any printer it ruins your printer

I have HP desk jet 940c and for the last seven years I have always used compatible catridges and never had any problems and the catridges last for ages i do
lots of printing from Joanna CDS.

I have an Epson, and I have had problems with compatibles. I always used them in my HP printer with no problems. The first compatibles I put in the Epson were
okay, but after that, the machine refused to recognise them at all, and wouldn't print. I changed them for originals, and you would think it was a new
machine! It was up and running straight away. So now I will have to only use the genuine ink in it.

we had to give up completely on compatibles with Epson - they put a little gnome in each printer as it leaves the factory and he rings head office if you try
and use compatibles and they put a nasty spell on your printer and it gives you merry hell until you buy proper Epson cartridges ...
well thats what I told Richard but he just rolled his eyes ... |
