I had one of the dial typewriters and a singer sewing machine, I had to turn the handle to get that going too, gee that thought brought back a few childhood
memories, thanks Linda, good one.

I loved my books best. had complete set of a Children's Classics, most of the famous Five, all the 'Katy' books, all the Little Women and ones that
followed on. Oh, and a lovely set of Arthur Mee's Children's Encyclopedia - I loved those books!
I also had one of those typewriters, and a John Bull printing set. Janet |

A lovely china doll, it had the most beautiful face (I can still see it now), my mum used to knit lovely clothes for it.

funny that your talking about much loved toys , my daughter was on the phone to me today once again bemoaning the fact that I threw away her "red"
Fraggle bendy toy, apparently she had been staring wistfully at one on Ebay, but the price put her off. In my defence she had loved the Fraggle so much that
the bendy wires had started to poke out through the end of the arms and when we moved I "forgot " to pack it. I know, I'm a terrible mother, ah
well such is life

I still have it in the wardrobe. It was a garden set that you bought in parts and built up ie, lawns, paving, greenhouse, shed. You had to fix all the plants
into pots etc and everytime you got it out you could change the garden around. I did try a few years ago to see if I could extend it but the set was long gone.
I have been known to get it out and have a play.
Can't wait to have grandkiddies, they will have greenfingers. Ali x |
