all those who use it as i did .. now its stopping ... ( may 31st ) i have downloaded avast and its good and free just make sure you click the free version

can you upgrade from free to a paid for version if you want - I know sometimes you can and it might be that someone would prefer it - I assume they made it
free so everyone tried it out ....

yes you can upgrade AVG .i have always had it and fancied a change so thought nows tht time ...and avast has a nice mans voice telling you your system is up

I think you can still get a free version, you just have to upgraded to version 8 I think.

I just had a message from AVG to say version 7.5 is being replaced by version 8. It sounds as though it's still free though. You just need to upgrade I
think.

Yeah, according to the popup screen you can still get the free version, but you have to remove the old one and download and install the new version 8

Just had a look at my AVG, and it says you can download 8.0 but it costs £39.99. Will change over I think!

You can upgrade to AVG8.0 Free edition but you would also have to download their free anti spyware too. I used to run AVG 7.5 Free but it
was only anti-virus and let in a password stealing Trojan Horse which was a bit worrying. I have now bought AVG 8.0 for 2 computers and now that I have
removed conflicting software (ie other free anti spyware) it works fine. Better safe than sorry.
