Well I like her I have to admit despite the fact that she can talk the hind leg off a donkey! Love accents as well although 1 person beat me - my ex's
uncle had SUCH a strong Scots accent and used a lot of Scottish words - he found it hilarious that I couldn't understand a word he said - I'm sure he
put the accent on even more! His wife had to translate for me!!!!

i am afraid when she is on, i do not watch the programme. it is not the accent, she just keeps talking and talking and talking and i feel i am sitting on a
train and cannot get off.
to be fair she is not the only person i cannot listen to. there is quite a few presenters on the other channels which i watch often. when they come on i just change the channel. if you are going to listen to someone for a long time, it has to feel smooth to your ears. it has nothing to do with accents. well coming off my old soap box, me and my pam ayres accent love june xxx |

The accent is not a problem since you can understand every word she says. I just find it so fast I'm not relaxed while I'm watching, because all the
time she's talking I feel I'm having to try hard to keep up with what is being said, if that makes sense. I have to admit I like a more sedate pace and
shopping channels by their very nature are going for quick sales. It makes me feel pressured and I wonder how many people buy in haste and repent at leisure.

I must agree, I also turn over or switch off when she comes on. I just can't keep up!! When I was a child, I hated merry-go-rounds and thought they would
never stop and let me off - same feeling here!! Accent has nothing to do with it for me - I grew up in Australia and although I have lost my accent now, I
still like similar accents. She just talks too much and too fast!!

I agree with most coments it isn;t her accent or the fact she talks fast (so do we up in the North East) its just that she never comes up
for breath . That poor baby must be lacking in oxygen, and it will certainly know its mothers voice fancy lstening to her 24/7. Still I wish her well and hope she enjoys a long..................... maternity leave Gill
