When I got married my surname became Keeler, I was so glad my christian name wasn't Christine. I have enough jokes made to me as it is.

Dad wanted to call me Trudie but mum thought it had to be short for Gertrude, which she hated, and wanted to call me Susan. Dad didn't like that, so called
me the name of the girl registered before me in the birth register! I prefer Trudi, and it was what dad called me until I was about 10. My second name, Ann, is
the second name of my mother and grandmother. Mum won't tell me what she thought of dad's official but choice - I hate it. Janet

l feel totally miffed over the names l gave my sons. The eldest is Wayne ( Andrew) and is now 42, at the time l knew of no other Waynes. It was just one of
those names that couldn't be shortened type of names and was chosen well before his birth. My second son l wanted to call Damian ( pre 666), no-one liked
it and preferred Darren ( Paul) so l changed it. Now they are classed as real chav names which is not what l wanted at all. My 3rd is Stuart and everyone liked
that. Needless to say Darren is Daz and Stuart is Stu. Wayne is still Wayne tho and it never is shortened.
My OH had loads of uncles, brothers and nephews, we didn't have a lot of choice left. l was named Dorothy after mums sister, ...great !!....Dot ( only Dot on'tinternet l'm always Dorothy at home) |
