Living in hot countries is great because they're all set up for it. You go from your air conditioned home, to your air conditioned car to your air conditioned office/shopping mall/supermarket - swimming pools everywhere and the sky is the most inspirational shade of blue.

Rain becomes an exciting event, all the roads flood and the buildings all gleam. Oh sometimes I do miss Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

I know the feeling, it was the same in Karachi

However, Jakarta was a different kettle of fish, always very humid, and it rained at about 2.00 pm every day when the atmosphere just got too heavy. Still had all the air-con, though.

We moved to the south of France for some better weather, as well as the French way of life, but this May has been really lousy, wet and windy...
