Hi Andrew, I've got the 3d-2 and haven't got the first. I don't actually like it that much. Keep getting it out but all to no avail

Hi Andrew,
you don't need the first CD 3D-2 has the same features as the first one plus it makes (Stackits ) Piramage and backing papers (which I love doing) Brenda |

I have used it to do piramage of family photos. It is really easy to use.

I agree with Brenda only have 2 but I love doing backing papers with it. Great for when you are using a printed decoupage sheet you can isolate one bit and
make a matching backing paper. had a bit of a problem working it at first but with the help of a forum member it is fine now.

I've got the CD (gave away the first one when I got the second) but don't really know how to use it. Can't sit long enough at the computer to play
either. Does anyone know where I could find instructions? Janet

I use it all the time, but not to do pyramage or decoupage
If I want to do one image from a CD I import it into 3D2 where I can size it to fit a certain size of card. The background paper is really handy too. I was doing a card from the Victorian Romance CD but I wanted an insert. Now the CD only had the backing paper in portrait so I took a square imported it and made my own landscape insert. I have a set of instructions, but I can't get it to paste into my reply so I will pm you. Alison |

Maybe some of you would be interested in how I make my backing papers.
To import an image into 3D2 it has to be a .jpg. You can cut an image from a .pdf using the snapshot tool then load it into irfanview.( This is a free program you can download from the internet which is useful to have anyway. It has lots of features.) Then you can save your image out as a .jpg. To make a paper without white lines your image for tiling must be a square. I load my image into photoshop and use the cropping option which lets you set a size. Then I crop a square and save it as a .jpg again. Alison |
