i have had a right laugh reading this, but ladies really, put them on the swap board and see it as a service not a cheat, you would be helping those that would
like to have a go at something new try it cheaper so saving them money and you will in return at least get back something you can use and might be a little
happier with.
i have swapped loads of stuff on here and had some great stuff sent to me, some of the best swaps for me have been things like embellishments, dst, ribbon etc as it's things i use a lot of and different parts of the country seem to have very different things on sale or at least stuff i cant get here at home. so for the price of some postage, you get you 'parcel fix' something new to try, get rid of something your hiding away and create new space. well thats my advice anyway. happy crafting, chell x |

Do keep trying with the wizard. I hated mine at first, couldn't get to grips with it and would have chucked it out the window, except for the fact my son
had bought it for me. Anyway perseverance paid off and I can use it just fine now. It will never be as easy as my big shot but the results are worth it.

I LOVE peel offs!!! I use them all the time. I just can't get over how many of you don't like them!
My worst buy has to flowersoft (never really used it, must try harder!) and a shapeboss, but I did get that half price ina sale, so I didn't waste that much money! I used to hate my fiskars shape cutter til I used it with a glass mat and all of a sudden its marvellous, so I'm thinking that my circle scribe may be the same if I can bring myself to get it and potentially waste some card!!! The way I look at it is, someone could go out for a meal and spend £40. So watching 6 hours of TSV or pick of the day, getting caught up in the excitement and
buying it, is lots of fun. It has not been wasted money even if I've only used half of it. Entertainment is expensive!
It only looks like a waste because it is all stuff that lasts. Of course, storage is a problem
My only regret is that there wasn't a big selection when I started card making so I have lots of bits of paper that aren't to my taste now, but are too good to throw away.
Though I love going through my bits and pieces and finding just the right thing especially if I have had it for ages.

This has been such an entertaining thread, I keep coming back to check what else sheenies do not use. I had forgotten about my Fiskars Shape Cutter- I broke
the blade within 10 minutes of trying it- that was another thing I sold on Ebay some time ago.
Joanne reminded me I have a 'few' bottles of Tim Holz Alcohol Ink in various colours, was enthusiastic when I bought it but cannot now remember what I was going to use it for , was it to colour CD's to use as backgrounds? does anyone have any ideas- sure it was something on this forum that I had seen. I like peel offs- don't love them but find them very useful. I have loads of rubber stamps which I do not seem to use, you tend to grow out of some stamps and move on to other themes. I do love my medallion stamps and hubby heads for the hills when I start a medallion stamping and glittering session! I love my glitter and very often go out sparkling and people think I have done it on purpose. LOL Helen |

I agree with Alison in when I first started Dawn Bibby was the one and only The things I bought were the most up to date like the
hammer punches someone mentioned. All the fiskar goods were what to buy also rubber stamps.I have alot of material, masses of paper which is now dated A Xyrox
used once I thinkand how many of us have hundreds of buttons along with the peel offs.. Like everone I could go on forever. I never got hooked on cricut, wizard
etc. couldn't afford and have a craft room bulging so no where to keep them.
Good thread Love Jenny |

I agree with Oldbee that I haven't wasted money on stuff - just not enough time to use it all yet except I would agree with Nicola01 - kits. I'm noy
happy with kits although get sucked to their ease of use and know I will use them more for selling cards once i go to Spain but I still prefer to Craft from
scratch really as that is my hobby and what crafting is all about for me. I love sorting through stuff and finding a long forgotten purchase and spending time
becoming re-acquainted. Bit like old friends really.

Mine was the original sissix machine, it's so big and cumbersome. I now have the cuttlebug which is much better and I can use my sissix dies in it.
