I have just made my first broccolli and cauliflower soup, following Alisons recipe. I had loads of the veggies so have made a huge pan full and will freeze
some when its cooled. It tastes yummy

My OH makes homemade soup and he has just made a butternut squash and potatoe soup, that is delicious too. He uses chicken or turkey stock which he gets from
boiling up the carcasses, we eat soup all year round. I agree Tina, Yummy. Love Nannywendy xxx

I love it too - the soup and the butternut squash
And if you use frozen cauli/broccoli mix it is almost as quick as opening a can of soup. Sarah xxx |

You're really getting into the cooking groove now aren't you Tina? Well done you - My OH does a great butternut squash soup that uses star anise - when
I get chance to hunt the recipe out I'll put it on the recipes board

Not very healthy, but I love chunks of stilton in the broccoli soup. They go runny and taste great
I have been adding lots of vegetables to my diet recently and my next try is going to be butternut squash. Will it work if I cut the flesh out and roast it? Oh, I got fed up eating jacket potatoes done in the microwave (with no filling ) so I decided to make some home made chips as a treat. I soaked the potatoes to make them crispy the way I always did and they were great.
But when I tested my blood sugar it was lower than usual. I realised I had taken the starch out so they were low carbohydrate So now I can have guilt free potatoes just by soaking them first. Happy Bunny!
