Thinking of getting one of these ,has anyone on the forum got one
and what do they think of it ,is it worth the money as i have a guillotine and a rotary cutter would i want one of these as well Kerriegold |

hi i have one but havent used it very much as yet,i wouldnt pay the price here but they are quite cheap in the states.as i seem to find it impossible to cut a
sraight line
 i thought it would help. they cut very clean and quick,no electric or batterys to worry about. but i havent had time for a good play with it
yet,not much help sorry. - libby

I have just bought one and haven't used it much yet, except to cut some pages for a book I was making, so I am more or less the same as libby, don't
have enough experience of the machine yet!!!!

I got a bargain one on ebay, and have really found it easy to use especially for making ready to use pieces to die cut with. I cant cut a straight line for
nuts, and have found this a simple and easy machine to use.
As a cardmaker, and not a scrapper, I find I can cut the 12x12 sheets of cardstock and beautiful papers into cardmaking layering pieces quite quickly, the only problem being when I come across a piece that is not true to 12x12 size the pieces end up a little out of wack. My machine only cost around the $30 mark, so for me it was truly a bargain. And the fact that it is self sharpening is great as there are no hidden costs, or replacement parts needed. I am definitely glad that I purchased it , as it has already paid me back in time saved. And even metallic card is easily handled although always 1 sheet at a time. I was told by a retailer not to bother if I already had a trimmer that I could use unless I made loads of books that needed real precision. They arent quick
to set up for matting & layering unless you want loads the same size so I went with her advice. She did say to go for a making memories trimmer instead as
it's selfsharpening and pretty accurate. I would think again if I saw it for £15 though...
