I keep my Bigshot and dies and other crafting goodies in a huge woven box in the corner of our lounge. OH has decided it is an eyesore and wants to get rid of
said box so I am thinking shall I get a new machine? I have so many dies. Trouble is Wizard of Cuttlebug?? I find the Bigshot very heavy and bought my Mum the
Cuttlebug for Christmas and she loves it, but should I get the Wizard? Dilemma time!

I've never tried the Wizard so can't comment on it but I just love my Cuttlebug, it's compact and easy to use. The end results are fab.

Personally I would keep the big shot as it is so versatile. I also have the wizard but the big shot is soooooo much easier.

I love my cuttlebug. I use it for embossing as I have the craft robo for die cutting. My second choice would have been the big shot but the cuttlebug is so
lightweight. I think the wizard would be more durable if you want to experiment with materials, etc.

Am a bigshot fan too - I wouldn't swap it at all I think I would find some other way to store it.

I have the bigshot and am really happy with it, I dont think changing your die cutter will resolve your problem, sounds like its the box the OH is not happy
with, is he a handyman, if so why not ask him to make you a nice little cupboard to store these things in with maybe a pull out shelf for your bigshot, then
you wouldnt have to lift it. Hope that help.

Sorry to throw a spanner in but I've never tried the big shot or cuttle bug, all I know is I Love my wizard. It takes some getting used to but it's
fab.

Thanks everyone. I have a room, a huge corner wardrobe in our bedroom, a 4 door wardrobe and shelves in another room and plastic drawers in trolleys.....I
think I need a bigger house lol!
Perhaps I will ask my Mum for a loan of her Cuttlebug to give it a go. I have arthritis so if you think the Bigshot is easier than the Wizard Tina then maybe I should discount it? Jan x |

Oh very much so. You do get a good cut with the wizard but I end up sweating after fighting with it lol

cuttlebug, I have the wizard and while it will cut anything I find it nearly impossible to use only use it when the sizzex and cuttlebug can't do the job

Thank you everyone who responded. I borrowed Mum's Cuttlebug last night and have been playing with it all morning, well up until now actually! I think
it's brilliant being so neat and compact although the handle is harder to turn than the BS so I will hold fire on buying a CB for now. The CB cut my
Nestabilities beautifully and I have cut hundreds
It has one thicker
plate which the BS doesn't have. I will either see if there is an equivilent plate available for the BSor if not will buy the C plate belonging to the CB
Sorry OH you will have to put up with big box in lounge as I am not getting rid of my BS just yet

I have a multi platform for the BS, the newer ones come with it already, it's basically the large plate with hinged plastic sheets to create the right
depth for other dies, embossing stencils etc. Gail

Another advantage of the Big Shot over the Cuttlebug is that Sizzix are starting to bring out some bigger and longer dies now, and I understand that the
Cuttlebug isn't wide enough to use them.

I still have the red original sizzex which I still use regularly, I find it the easiest of all the machines, although I have a cuttlebug which I adore and a
wizard, I still ove my old work horse, he is like an old friend, my worry is that he will stop working and I won't be able to replace him. I really need to
get a life
