Its Gonna Be A long night !!! |

I am puppy walking a potential new assisstance dog, he doesn't think a great deal of being the only resident of my utility room. He is only a baby and is
still having formula feeds,, so I guess its gonna be a long night. As yet he doesn't have a name but the girls in the office seemed to favour Heinz ! ! He
really is one mixed up pooch, so it will be very interesting to see how he turns out. He wasn't due to arrive for a while but circumstances took everyone
by surprise ans he had to be placed today. It has been a long time since I've done this but as you all know I can't resist a challenge. I know what a
great difference these dogs make to peoples lives, some of the ladies on this forum have assisstance dogs and they have transformed their lives. I am really
looking forward to introducing the pup to escalators, trains, people of all shapes and sizes, pushchairs, tractors and most worryingly of all loud crashes and
bangs!!

O Wow, I think those dogs are just so amazing, I'm sure he'll settle down eventually.
I couldn't do what you do, It would be too hard to give them up when it's time for them to move on up to 'big' school! So people like you who are able to give these young pups the early training and love they need should be congratulated! Have fun with him Liza |

He sure has, he seemed to enjoy the ride, though he will have to get used to being on his lonesome, or else the only place we can camp will be miles from
civilisation

Have fun tonight. |

I shall have him for between 9 months and a year, so you have to be very strict with yourself. I used to train gun dogs as a sideline a few years back, before
I changed breed from spanniels to border terriers. Thank goodness I warned the neighbours !!

How fantastic Sassie, although you may be thinking otherwise at the moment after little sleep. Think he should have a name derived from Sassie really, perhaps
the girls should come up with something. I'll start the ball rolling with Dyson!
Great thing you're doing, when Tiffy was little, and she was weaned, I spent the first 2 weeks sleeping in the hall as she was restricted to the kitchen by a baby gate and gradually slept futher away each night. They do learn quite quickly but it just seems a long time when you're not getting sleep. Well there I go trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs metaphorically speaking as you're only a young'un. Happy training. Hugs Marion W |
