Marks on my paper when I print out....please help me.... |

When I print out there is a long mark on my paper......it looks like I've dipped a paint brush in some water and stroked it on part of the paper! I've
followed Epson's cleaning instructions and cleaned the nozzles and head but to no avail. Please can any of you techies out there help me or have you had
this problem?

It might be dirt\ink on the rollers as the paper is feeding through - have you tried cleaning them? Or perhaps some ink has collected in the bottom of the
printer? Good luck.

i had this problem once.i just took the cartridges out and wiped the bottom of them very gently with a baby wipe .

Sounds a bit like a dirty roller - have you compared position of the dirty line to position of rollers?
Also I believe on some printers there is a sort of sponge at the bottom of the printer well that soaks up excess ink. (somebody mentioned it a short while ago) think all you have to do is run it under water to clean it. dry it off and replace it, as it could be that it is picking up ink from that. Melcache's suggestion is also another good one - wipe them gently and blot them on some kitchen roll, and replace them. (don't forget you will probably have to re-align them when you put them back) Mags |
