Thank you so much ladies. Can you tell that I have been glued to the demo's on C&C?
Brenda, the beaded necklace is not mine, a friend at my WI was clearing the house of her aunt who had died. She picked up a box that an alarm clock had come in, and was just going to throw it on the skip when she realised that something was inside, and lo and behold. It is not stricktly a necklace, but a black net throw embellished with beads and sequins in black and abalone, which is meant to be worn the opposite way to a shawl with the rounded part laying on the chest. We think it is Edwardian and that her Aunt had made it herself, as when we looked carefully, it was not quite finished Glad you liked my Cross Stitch. Looks like I have another obsession now
