Does anyone have this brand of sandals. If so, did you find them uncomfortable at first.? I've just bought a pair and have had them on for 1 hr and am
finding them most uncomfortable. I normally buy fly flots as they are so comfie and I know I can walk in them straight away and no probs. Saw these Birkis on
QVC for half price and thought I'd give them a go. would be glad of any feed back from any Birki wearers.

I think it probably depends on the shoes you normally wear, Sandra. (I've never even seen Flyflots)
I have some (Gizah), & no, I didn't have to get used to them, but saying that, I have very good, straight feet, & never wear shoes, socks or slippers indoors, & live in flip-flops & 'backless' sandals whenever I can outside. My OH, who has dropped arches, haha, wears them too, but with back straps (+ drives with them), but like me, never wears anything on his feet inside. I used to live in Scholls (sp?) & mule-type clogs in 'the old days', so maybe I'm just used to the 'ridges'??? Jackie |

i think birkies are the comfiest ever, other than fly flots. they take a bit of getting used to if you haven't worn them before though, think its the shape
of the sole that does it.

Haven't got those, Sandra, but same thing happened to me last year with Flyflots! Everyone else swears by them so I bought a pair for going on holiday and
my feet were cut and blistered to bits with them. Had to walk about in old baffies with numerous plasters on my feet and it took nearly 5he whole holiday for
them to recover.

I have loads of pairs of Birkenstocks and find when you first buy them and have never worn them before they feel awful and make your feet ache, this is because
of the shape of the inner. I have had them for years and love them but my hubby took quite a while to get used to them, do persevere as once you have got used
to them they are extremely comfotable and good for your feet.
I wear heels sometimes for work but the first thing I do when I get in is put my Birkies on, they feel odd for a minute but my feet soon start to say thank you. Jenny x Oh by the way once you have worn them they shape to your feet so fit better. |

Totally agree Jenny! It's different if have an experience like Janny with her Flyflots, but if they just feel a bit uncomfortable at first, I'd stick
with it! But it's not worth suffering either. They do 'shape to your feet'. I love 'em :-)

yes I have a few pairs and always find they take some breaking in. I wear them all summer long and after not wearing them in winter find they take some getting
used to again (even old pairs).

They do take some 'getting used to' but well worth perservering, just a few hours a day at first mind, and keep building the time up until you feel
comfy in them.
It's something in the way they have been made to make your feet 'work' and help you stand/walk in the correct posture. If you ever had Scholl sandals when they were all the rage, a few years back, it's a similar thing Christine xxx |

I have been wearing Birkenstocks for over 20yrs (not the same pair!lol) and wouldn't
wear anything else. New ones do feel bumpy underfoot at first but they soon "mould" to your foot shape and then they are so comfortable. Personally my favourites are the ones with 2 or 3 buckles.......I have some with only one buckle and I miss the support, but that's just personal preference. Enjoy your Birkenstocks. Anne x |
