Does anyone know how to print the bookmarks but take out the gap between the two designs so that I can fold it to make a double sided bookmark. Hope this makes
sense, I know what I want to do but will you

Christine, the only real way of doing that would be to Snapshot the image from Acrobat Reader, and paste it into word/graphics proggy.
Or you could print it out twice on semi stiff card and stick the two together. Would make it a bit more solid for bookmarks too. |

as Andy says it would have to be done in a graphics program as they are designed to be cut out singly and stuck back to back - but if you are good with one of
the programs like photoshop or something - then yes you can snapshot it out of the cd and into there
sorry! |

Thanks, Andy, Kathleen & Joanna for your help, Joanna can I ask you what size the bookmarks are meant to be.
When I print directly from Adobe they are 8" x 2.5", however if I copy and paste into Publisher they measure 5.1/2" x 1.75" Chrisjw was asking me about this a moment ago Christine

they're meant to be 8 x 2.5 - so something needs tweaking in publisher - just stretch them back by pulling the corner etc ....?

I would try this!
Open a Microsoft Word Doc! Open the bookmark you want to use! Make sure the pic opens at 100 % (sometimes mine opens smaller or larger but its easy to alter!) Copy each pic in Adobe using the Camera button Paste each pic into Word Doc In Word Select one of the pics Click on Format then in Drop down list Click on picture A box will open up with several buttons allong the top Click on Layout Then on BEHIND TEXT (thats the one I use!) This should put a series of little circles round your pic. It will enable you to click & hold then move the pic around. you need to do this to both pics You should then be able to line the 2 pics next to eachother! If you find you have a white border at the edge of the pics Click on format then on PICTURE and you can then crop from each side and top and bottom Hope this makes sense! It sounds harder than it really is! I often use this method to make a selection of different images from Joannas CDs on one page If you need more help I will try again Good luck Margaret PS if anyone else has a simpler way of doing this I too would be grateful! xx |

I have just tried to make sure as I always use the snapshot tool - and paste into a plain word document
If you make sure you get right on the right edge line and then paste the first one onto the plain word doc - then do the same with the second image making sure you get right on the lefthand side then paste right next to the first image Forget to say once you have your first image click outside the box and the cusor will be right on the bottom righthand side of the bookmark ready to paste the second image I did this by mistake once when trying to get lots of the same image for decoupaging but it make a wonderful backing sheet - see backgroung below - although this isn`t a boomark but it shows the repeat pattern
If you have a 1mm edge showing from the bookmark just draw a line to cover it up Well that`s how I would do it Suzanne

I`m pleased you found it worked for you - as I say it was only an accidient for me - being tight not wanting to print pages and pages to decoupage as I wanted
12 flowers and then found I loved the way it gave a different background - don`t get me wrong I love the ready made backing sheets but just wanted something
diferent for this card
Thanks for the lovely comments too Suzanne |
