I would try this!
Open a Microsoft Word Doc!
Open the bookmark you want to use!
Make sure the pic opens at 100 % (sometimes mine opens smaller or larger but its easy to alter!)
Copy each pic in Adobe using the Camera button
Paste each pic into Word Doc

In Word Select one of the pics
Click on Format then in Drop down list Click on picture

A box will open up with several buttons allong the top
Click on Layout
Then on BEHIND TEXT (thats the one I use!)

This should put a series of little circles round your pic. It will enable you to click & hold then move the pic around.
you need to do this to both pics

You should then be able to line the 2 pics next to eachother!

If you find you have a white border at the edge of the pics Click on format
then on PICTURE
and you can then crop from each side and top and bottom

Hope this makes sense! It sounds harder than it really is!
I often use this method to make a selection of different images from Joannas CDs on one page
