Posts: 986 (29/06/2008 19:19:26) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None I got some of the new cuttlebug borders and a couple of them looked like they would make lovely toppers so I made a big A4 sized retirement card with one and then I made a DL sized card with the other both are metal embossed with the folders and both embossed really well I have had the metal for a couple of years and only just put it to use,the pictures look a little curved the edges dont look straight but its my camera it seems to have a fish eye type view Wendy

I have these borders so it is a great inspiration. A friend in the USA suggested sticking ordinary kitchen foil onto card and then using the 'bug to emboss, so I'll have a go that way. She sent a card she had made using that method and coloured it with alcohol inks. Thanks for sharing and I bed Doreen is thrilled!! Janet

Posts: 986 (29/06/2008 19:36:26) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Hi Janet, I did try sakura pens but the results were a little flat so I used some sakura then clear crystal lacquer on top which gave it definition, I also used the crystal glaze pens the neon ones gave the effect of pink opals and London blue topaz on the DL cards I have some more metal in different colours so I will be giving those a try and see what they colour up like.
