What a cheek... |

I had a call this evening from a friend of a workmate asking if i could make 50 Engagement Party invitations by, wait for it, FRIDAY! She also wanted a sample
first before deciding. When the price came up i quoted her £50.00 which i thought was very fair considering the time restrictions. She only wanted to pay 1/2
that (£25.00). Guess who's buying her invitations in woolies

Way to go Steve! £1 per invite would be very reasonable even without the time constraint which should have attracted a higher price! She clearly hasn't a
clue what's involved!

Some people! In ahurry and haggling over the price too. It's not like you've got anything better to do this week is it ?
Glad you told her where to go - and I think woolies should give you commission for sending them the business. Jan |

Also Been There ---- Buy i only got 4 hours!!!! | ||

I also have been there 2 weeks ago. Was asked to make 45 Invitations for a party BUT !!!! only had 4 hours to have them completed.
I was then asked 2 days later to make 35 Wedding Invitations --- they were required !!! IMMEDIATELY as the wedding was in 6 weeks time. AHHHHHHHHHH On a better note -- nice to see another male into card making -- David |

Glad you stood your ground, Steve. It is so easy to become a busy fool, as they say. A company locally has asked members of our Craftworkers Group if anyone
would like to make their Christmas cards for them: 1000 and they have to have the company logo, so will be an original design, all handmade and, to quote their
contact 'we'll screw you down for the smallest price'!! Needless to say, I haven't bothered to contact them, don't need work like that.

Well done, Steve !!!
Some people have NO idea about the time involved or the cost of materials. If you want my opinion £ 50 was a complete give-away, particularly with the quality of your cards ! Best wishes Sonia |

Good for you Steve, why do people think they can take advantage! You're worth much more than that, especially with your talent for making cards. They
won't be anywhere near as nice as yours would have been, serves them right!!! Trouty x (Jean)

good for you Steve.
My next door neighbour who was having a quiet second wedding a couple of years ago shouted me over the fence one day and said can you make me wedding invitations for the end of the week, i said it would take until the end of the week to get the stuff never mind make them. she then said can you not find some stuff you have and make them, i said i dont have enough and it's not wedding ish. So she didnt have any invites and phoned folk. It wasnt like a proper wedding where the invited go out 8 and 6 weeks in advance, i dont think many people turned up. |

The wedding breakfast was probably a bag of crisps and a glass of coke. Cheapskate!!!! I love making cards for people but that is ridiculous!
