Morning Isobel, I love Ireland - especially the area you are. Have you been to the Dingle peninsular yet. Inch Beach is beautiful.
Enjoy.

YOu sound like you are having a wonderful time. Southern west of Ireland is where Aidan's family is from and it is quite beautiful there.

Believe it or not I live in Northern Ireland and have never been to any of those places the only place in the south I have been to is Dublin for a conference.
It is beautiful scenery there I know as friends have a home there as well as here in Belfast. The scenery here in the north is equally as lovely and if ever
any of you are in Belfaast just give me a shout and I will meet you and treat you to a real Ulster Fry...

Oh, Isobel, you are making me jealous. We had two weeks in Ireland in February/March, visiting lots of relations, and it was an amazing holiday, although you
are probably getting better weather than we did! We were in Monaghan, Sligo and Mayo, and visited the places where my Mom and Dad grew up. Enjoy the rest of
your holiday.

Anne, Mayo is where Aidan's family are from .. a place called Foxford. Nancy's family are also from there

Tina, my cousin lives in Kilkelly, near Knock Airport; not sure if it is near Foxford.

Hi Isobel - glad you are having a great time - I know it is supposed to be really beautiful over there. If you get as far as County Cork - you never know you
might bump into Ita (Winecarmel)!

Glad you are having a wonderful time. My maternal ancestors came from Swinford, Co Mayo which is not far from Knock.

Sounds as though you are having a wonderful time Isobel. We are just back from Youghal which is in County Cork. It's a very picturesque wee place with
loads to do for the children as well. We stayed in a lovely spot called Carleton Village about 30k from Cork city. I love holidaying down South and we have
travelled all over Ireland in the last lot of years usually in September so June is a new time for me to go away. Our eldest GS will be starting school in
September so we had to go earlier this year. My favourite county is Donegal - it's so rugged and wild. Ah!! it's something else having the Atlantic
ocean outside your back door.
