Thought I had washed my hands carefully after chopping chillies ... just ate a nectarine and my lips are tingling and burning!!!!!!!

Ouch!! I don't eat chillies because they don't agree with me - now I'm glad! A tip I was given a while ago is to rub your fingers quite liberally
with cooking oil before you start - it stops the chilli juices penetrating your skin and they wash off easily with the oil

Next time..........if there is one, run cold water over chilli and hands . Do not dry either. Then chop. then wash hands. It should not be as bad. (I hope).
It works for me. But I would not take the risk of rubbing your eyes or other tender parts even so. Sandra
