Seems all the discs from halfway down my back to the bottom, are compressed, the worst one being the bottom one. ( knew my back hurt!!) Now have to wait to see consultant and possibly have MRI scan. I said I would do that as long as they left my head out of the machine!! Tried that before and couldn't do it. As it's my lower back, hopefully they'll be able to just scan that part! Think I need some retail therapy to cheer me up, I feel a visit to Joanna's coming on!! Mary xx

It's painful, but fortunately I already have a crutch because of the MS, so that helps a lot, and compared to what a lot of people on this forum are going through, it's nothing. The good part is, the pain eases off when I sit, so I have the perfect excuse to make cards or sit here at the computer!! Mary x

Had the same thing - hate the MRI scan too! I had 6 nerves either side of my lower spine that were being compressed so they were 'zapped' with Microwave surgery. Seems to have worked so far. Had to have these surgeries 3 months apart so it took up the best part of a year. Hope you get sorted soon - nothing worse than back-ache (apart from tooth-ache!!). Thinking of you. Jan
