I'm with AOL broadband and the only problem I've ever had was the one time they sent the newsletter to my spam box! I sorted that out no problems at
all now. I have wondered about changing, but I get the speed upped every now and again for free so I'm happy.

I`m with BT and it`s great - had my first problem sending an e-mail yesterday and in the end I closed the tab I was in sending it from and opened a new one and
it fixed the problem
Hope you get broadband as you`ll never look back Plus the prices keep coming down with BT - there are some great packages out there Suzanne |

After being on Dial up with AOL. just in process of moving to Broadband with BT.
Cann't see the point of paying for one package and not have the use of phone etc when you can pay vitually the same and get all the 'Bells, Whistles and Flutes' The amount of times I'm on here or somewhere else on the net and daughter or someone wants to ring us and they cann't get thhrough!!! That could at anytime be an important phone call!!!! Many a time Sarah has come on and sent me an IM to get my attention!! So hopefully come next weekend we'll be in full swing with BT Broadband and a new email addy etc. Just got to inform everyone of the new addy now Oh hech!....... chrisb |

We have been with AOL for three years. The only problems have arisen from BT's failure to maintain the phone cables. AOL is excellent on security.

I'm with Orange which was Wanadoo, I have never had a problem but when I was with AOL it was a nightmare. I had been with AOL for years and it was fine but
as soon as I had a problem the customer services really let me down. I couldn't cope with dial-up now though.

Broadband is great. Go for it. I'm with Tesco, and never had any problems. Also get extra club points each month too.

I'm all sky and it no problems - not to set up or anything else. But agree broad band is so much better and its just one payment per month and no long
bills

I'm with Orange (surprised only the second one who's replied). Have been with them since Curry's brought out Freeserve as daughter worked there (.
Have been through all the changes with them and I believe that if you don't have a problem then don't change. Now have livebox but don't use it
wirelessly but means son can use Wii at same time and we have fee phonecalls on it. Don't know what we'd do without Broadband as Alex does a lot of
gaming stuff, husband uses it a lot for charity he's vice-chair of and I do a lot of research on it.

I agree with Tina, yes they say talk talk is free but oh my word the customer service is bad. When you finally get your modem it won't connect so you
phone up and you can't get to talk to anyone who knows what they're doing. I'm with them at the moment and am tied in for 18 months or I get
charged for ending the contract. Only got about 9 months left so think we'll go with someone else when it's all over.

I'm with Sky - only had it a couple of months but so far it's fine - and I get free evening and weekend calls to landlines - and I don't pay for it
- just my normal Sky package plus the line rental part of the BT line - which means it's a lot cheaper overall than my dialup was - and that was a free
ISP, just pay the call charges whilst connected. My old dial up had a horrendous couple of months or so last year so I was really glad when we were able to go
over to Sky. If you want Sky with lots of download ( music, videos etc) then it's only £10 per month ( and you get free daytime calls and some overseas
destinations too) so if you've got Sky it's definitely worth it.

As someone mentioned the advantages for broadband are that
A) phone calls can still come through when you are on the internet; B) The price difference between dial up and broadband is virtually insignificant and C) it all loads so much faster so you spend less time waiting for pages to load. Hope this all convinces your OH Grandma Gloria Lynn xx |
