The surgeon has seen my Dad & said that the operation was a success. All the tumour was removed with a good margin at either side. It had not managed to start to grow into any other tissue either. He was pleased with her progress as evidently it's most major operation you can have, even more than a heart transplant or brain surgery. We just have to wait until next week now for the results of the biopsies on the lymph nodes. We can hardly believe that we can relax a little at last after being so tense for so long.
Mum was in a bit of pain this morning because the has taken out the epidural the night before so they were waiting for a doctor to re-discuss her pain relief.
I haven't seen her yet but all being well, if she's up to it I'll go tomorrow for a short while.
