Last week on our local radio they had a phone in about what MPs were allowed for their second homes. I don't know if it was discussed on here, but I couldn't find anything. Listening to it, I have to say my flabber was well and truly ghasted! They called it the JOHN LEWIS list, and when the calls started coming in, I'm surprised my radio wasn't smoking!
Some of these, no MOST of these people don't live in the real world at all, £200 for a food mixer, I think it was £50 for a kettle and the same for a toaster! Someone rang in and asked "were they going to start making cakes!?"
For the allowances they had, an ordinary person like me, could have furnished 2 homes, let alone one!
What do you all think? I think they should give them the Argos book, and I think that when their term of office is over, (for whatever reason) they should give up the flat// house and let the next person in the job have it. I can't see why they don't buy a job lot of some sort of accomodations, instead of all these second homes, when the majority of young people today, can't even afford a one bedroomed flat!
oh! they had an answer to that too, too easy a target for terrorists!

)!! where they can doss down whenever they need to be in London. But if other
mps are like ours they are never in their constituency any way so why bother having 2 homes anyway!!!!!
