File sharing, blatant file sharing across the internet, not just one or two sheets of decoupage but entire cds. And not just the odd one here or there but the entire Joanna Sheen and Sharon Duncan collection amongst many many more. Just had to get that off my chest, thanks for listening

I have been in touch with many of the sharing networks and they are co-operating 100% and are deleting files and memberships as I find them. My hitlist just gets longer and longer and longer, are there any honest crafters left

I joined a yahoo group a few weeks ago as there were reports of it going on and thats where this whole nightmare began. I thought it was one or two sheets of papers but oh no no no, its the whole blinking collection. Lots of the members have been really helpful just one or two that 'doth protesteth too much'. But I shall keep fighting the fight and trying to avoid chocolate while doing so

Posts: 15234 (08/07/2008 18:25:50) Administrator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I am really grateful to Sharon she works really hard on behalf of her CD collection and ours - to see people saying here you are help yourself world to any of Joanna's CDs - don't bother about buying them - here take anything off mine for free and thinking they are being clever when they are just being plain illegal - and you crafters know which you are and yes I do think it's horrid but there will always be takers for freebies rather than paying for things - so all the blame can't be laid at the door of those that share them illegally over networks - it's just as much the crafters taking them that are at fault but yes thank you Sharon and I'll go back in my box now ....

We all put so much work and time into producing our CDs and to hear that they are appearing on illegal file sharing sites is so sad. As ive said before, i dont own any pirated material and feel very strongly about supporting the producers of the work, whether its music, movies etc. Sharon, if you find my CDs on any file sharing sites, i would appreciate a nudge lol

I have an uncle that is forever saying what he's just d/loaded ( music etc) and someone else who d/loads unreleased films and sells them 3 for 10.00 and it makes me sick. On the subject of copyright theft... most of my words aren't printable. I will say that when I first started card making 'proper' I was indeed offered copies of Joanna's CDs, and 'any others I've got' by someone I had felt was a good egg until then, and her CDs were copies to start with, from a family member. They both claimed to be fans of Joanna's work and then pulled a stunt like that. My reply to her isn't printable here either... I must add that she hasn't ever been a Sheenie. Whatever happened to the philosphy of if you can't afford something, then you simply can't have it? Since we moved home, money is quite tight, and so I make my decisions with more thought, and wait for things I really want but can't afford at the time. To act any differently is a compromise you make with your conscience, and what does that say about you as a person? Not a great deal of good I've no doubt. I'm so sorry that you have to contend with dishonest people like this Sharon and Joanna and everyone else who is a victim of this type of crime. Lavender XX
