I used to use Gloss photo paper all the time but lately i have been using Semi-Gloss and Satin photo paper and i find i like the results you get better. Would be interested in other peoples oppinions on this and what they like to use and what they like best. Love and best wishes Andrewxxx

I do occasionally use Satin or the High Gloss for a special finish! For backgrounds I use Tescos premium Quality printer paper its 120gsms and i find it great for backgrounds. Margaret xx

I have also found pearl to also be good finish. I find gloss too much. I find that the image really dicates the paper finish. Susan

Every image and card is individual to my mind. Satin and even matt is lovely for toppers or gloss on occasion !! A lot of help there then !! Look at the images and see how it comes across to you and print accordingly. For best results tell the printer what you are feeding it ! Very best wishes Sonia

Posts: 423 (08/07/2008 19:48:57) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I tend to use gloss photo paper if I'm just printing out a topper that will just be an image matted and layered on a card. but if I'm going to do any decoupage I use satin paper or just matt 160gsm paper. i've found that you get obvious white edges with the gloss paper when you cut it out. Rub the edge gently against the pen works wonders for me! Margaret x

Otherwise i use inexpensive photo paper or a nice satin. For backing papers I tend to use 160gsm paper. Chrissie x

I use 100gm copy paper for inserts and backing papers, Found HP. semi-glossy very good for toppers, and 160 Ryman card also. I love linen effect for special cards especially nice on Joannas JNM cd cos it looks a bit like canvas. Love Jen.
