Posts: 3065 (09/07/2008 16:49:23) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I joined October 2007, best thing I ever did, like most people i lurked for a while, not being very good on computers and a bit on the shy side It took a while for me to get the courage to join in, I have met such a lot of wonderful people, learned how to use my computer, a lot of tecky stuff I would have been terrified of before, Thank`s to Joanna,Richard, Tina & Katrina and everyone who makes this a lovely place to visit.....Ann d xxx PS thanks to for all the beautiful cards to look at....

I'm a bit of a looker then a poster never know what to put . take me hours to think what to put then just as long to post it and all i can say is thank god for spellchecker Donna

I feel I have made some very good real friends with people I have never met, or have just met once for a short while. I have laughed, cried, sympathised and shouted along with the rest of you (gotten tiddly a few times with you too)........ you are a family I didn't have before and I thank you all. C xx

I only started making cards at the end of 04 and went to my local craft shop in Hexham to see Joanna a couple of times. She mentioned the forum on one of the visits so I thought 'oh well I'll go look' I also made the STUPID mistake of looking on her online shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That woman has cost me a fortune due to the fact she has to keep stocking new stuff that I need. I've had great fun on the forum over the time. I remember the days of mad banter between Maggie and Frances... I miss that. There was some comment made about Joanna and her cooking.... was it something to do with pasta Joanna (manky pasta rings a bell) I love being part of the card swap and envelope swap. I've had some great cards and envelopes through my door and I really look forward to each July when I receive my birthday cards from the birthday listers. I'll take this opportunity, once again, to thank all who have arranged the swap lists.... Kate, Katrina, Lavender, SJ, KerenC, Frankie. Hope I haven't missed anybody out. There have been a lot of good times and very very sad times (I've sat and cried buckets for people who have lost loved ones or had other major tragedies in their lives) I hope to continue to be a part of this forum for a long time. I'll admit..... I also hope to be continuing to find things in Joanna's shop that I NEED. Of course, to add insult to injury, I've also gone hunting in Sharon's shop. Sharon you need to remove those new pyramid sheets. I've bought one set and I'm very tempted to be buying the next set. I began to feel left out when posts on everyday events had me laughing, crying and amazed at the difficulties some of the Sheenies were having and how well supported they all were. Yes I kick myself on a regular basis for having left it so long! sharing ideas, problems, disappointments and joys.....it really is like being part of a large family that understand the urge to craft .Knowing the frustration & success of getting paper to express a part of you and share that experience with like minded folk. So many skilled crafters to help with my hobby........the list of reasons for logging on daily to the forum are endless! Most of all I think it's knowing you are not alone when you feel low, the support from everyone is truly amazing. Even more amazing is my paper crafting now looks handmade (sometimes!) rather than home made by a 5 year old! Thank you everyone for a great forum. EuniceX

Learnt loads since, stacks of ideas, hints,tips etc etc. Keep up with the latest techniques and stuff Laughed and cried....... Most of all....keeps me sane...or insane depending on your view San x

You have all been so kind and friendly I can't imagine not signing in each day. I didn't expect it to be so addictive. What a great place to be. Still a bit afraid of the computer but I expect I will soon get used to things and if I have a problem I know all I have to do is ask you wonderful Sheenies. I don't post as often as some but I read a lot of threads without adding comments. I do like the variety of topics and some threads are both interesting as well as informative and I go back to read new comments put on after mine. It feels like one big happy family and I've enjoyed meeting up with fellow sheenies at craft shows. Jan

I agree with those who have said it's like a big family. You know there is always someone here to support or encourage you, make you think or make you laugh! It is the most LIVELY craft forum I know. It is never quiet here, and altough I am not on all that much, I know that If I have to talk to someone or just ventilate my craftY mistakes or happy accidents perhaps I should say, I know I can go online and chat. I know I am a bit of the odd foreign bird around here, but I like it here, and I intend to stay.... why???Because UK and all you in it, is in my opinion, the best cardmakers in the world, and I get very inspired by all your cards and always get so many card ideas from watching the amazing art that you all create on this forum...... I saw that there was an e mail address on the cover so I sent an e mail expecting to get a reply a few days later saying that my e mail had been received instead of which, I received an almost instantaneous reply from Richard who not only solved my problem but sent a follow up e mail to encourage me to contact him again if I had any further problems. I found that joanna had a forum and after lurking for a while I joined. I don't always have time to post but I do read all the posts most days. I, like many others, have made some lasting friends and I received a lot of back up when I had surgery last year. Trish x
