I never read instructions LOL. I have often put it through and it worked perfectly well. I used the option that is for paper that doesn't absorb ink (forget what it's called) but I use it for vellum and acetate too. I used white or translucent and coloured some after printing and some I printed coloured images!! Now I'll look at the instructions, but most of my shrink plastic was bought by the sheet. Give what you've got a try!! Janet
