Where do you get your undies, the lower ones ? I have always had them from M and S but the last lot have very tight legs, they are cutting me in half, I am a
normal 18 but these feel like 12's, anyone else have this problem ??

M&S knicks aren't what they used to be are they. I don't like the higher cut leg either. And the quality isn't as good as it used to be.
I haven't bought any pants from there but my sister brought home a couple of bras for me from Asda. They were cheap - £3 for 2 I think and I am really pleased with them. Mind you they are not much bigger than 2 hankies sewn together .
I'll have to try the pants. |

I've always bought mine from M&S but have also noticed that they've changed the fit ... I know it sounds odd but it's true.
Hubby says that it's because my behind is spreading in my advancing years but I find it strange that I can fit in to size 10 trooosers yet I need HUGE knickers

Yes Pat, I feel the same way. I always buy the high cut leg design, but even these don't seem to fit well anymore.
I swear that all M&S clothing is getting smaller! I'm a size 18 (at the moment) like you, and I can buy that size anywhere and it fits me...anywhere except M&S! They used to be renowned for their generous sizing but not anymore, all that seemed to change at the same time they lost their way with who their customer base is. They started trying to appeal to the young and trendy, (but none of them would be seen dead shopping in M&S!) instead of sticking to the classic styling they had always used before. lol Chrissie xx |

I love the M&S lacey knicks not the weeny ones but the higher waisted style, find them very pretty and confortable and at 3 pairs for £10 not bad for
value. Not much choice of colour though.

I've tried the Matalan ones, and find them very good. As you've all said though, I always used to use Marks and Sparks but I think they've become
Marks and Sparse!!! lol

Since I gained weight
Just another comment on M&S.....bought a couple of pairs of their cheap £12 stretch cotton canvas jeans style trousers last summer and loved them in a size 16 and when I tried to buy the same ones this year they didn't have them BUT they did have some very similar...however I couldn't even get them past my thighs and even had to buy an 18 in the denim jeans Oh and I can't seem to fit into any of their Per Una clothes much as I love them Oh to be a size 10 again! |

I've been getting mine at Sainsbury's recently - the TU clothing range is really reasonable and very often has good reductions.

M&S clothes are definitely smaller than they should be. My friend is small and slim always a size 12 but last winter she had to buy a size 18 in an anorak from M&S Alison |

I wonder if the comments on here have anything to do with the fall in profits at M&S? They are blaming the ecomony, but if their knickers fall down, that
could be a deciding factor!
I find their clothes a bit `cheap` looking now and not as well made as they used to be. Also, why does everything have to have embroidery and sequins? Not the knickers obviously. Sue |
