I had my long awaited hospital appointment yesterday to see the specialist about my shoulder and upper arm.
Apart from having a steroid injection, which she herself didn't think would do much good, I have to go home and live with the constant pain and not being able to lift my arm up at all. Now don't all start laughing
but she
told me to try and do things that didn't involve lifting my arms up. That's almost impossible when you are only 4'10". Also the worst things
that I can do is peg washing out and clean windows, I must learn to delegate. OH is only home at the week-end and the 2 old cats are not very good with pegs.
Apparently it is all coming from my neck as a result of a bad car accident 19yrs. ago. I felt really low when I came out of there. I was offered physio but she
said "I doubt it will do any good". I felt really miserable all day yesterday. However, today is a new day and I thought, at least it won't stop
me crafting and I have my grandchildren, 2 of which come every Friday. As yet my legs are OK
so there is no excuse not to play footy this afternoon. Sorry for the moan, I
realise that there are a lot worse off than me, so have kicked myself into touch and must learn to get on with it.
Hugs, Judith.x
