Deckle Scissors Help |
Lead | |
|
Hi Everyone, I,m hoping someone may be able to give me some tips on cutting straight with Deckle scissors, I seem to never get a straight line ,no matter how
hard I try. Is it just me or is there a knack to using them maybe. Hugs from a very Frustrated Rita

Have you tried drawing a feint line and following that? There is a small groove in the top of the scisors where the deckle bit meets the scissors, i usually
use that to go along the line.

Yep, I'm a feint line girl myself. Couldn't cut a straight line to save myself.

No idea, I've used mine several times and no joy, think they are stuck in the back of a drawer somewhere!

Thanks Girls, Will try the feint line as I have tried the blade meeting the plastic and it works for the first cut ,but when I need to cut a longer length its
back to squiggly lines and you can see where I stop and start. Hugs Rita xxx

Sorry Rita, gave up on straight lines with scissors sometime ago. Use a trimmer and put a deckle blade in. Chrissie x

Rita, after you cut the first bit you need to line up where you have stopped with the design on the scissors.
Does this make sense? Adele x |

When I used to use the scissors, I drew a faint line on the back and followed that. Now I'm afraid that like Chrissie, I use a cutter with a deckle edged
blade, much, much easier lol. Trouty x (Jean)

My word, Chrissie and Jean ,I like the sound of that, a machine you put the blade into and cut ............... Sounds just what I need. Hugs Rita xxxxxxxxxx
