He's a lot thinner but very bright and shouty. He's on antibiotics and Zantac - looks like he's had a very severe form of gastro-enteritis. He's on a sensitive diet for the next couple of weeks and we are waiting on the results of some blood tests which have to be done in the states. Our vets are brill - very thorough.
Very happy Sheenie here - must go and give him a big hug.

Update - Vet phoned to say that the overnight anti-nausea meds appear to be working - he has kept some food down from last night and is very bright this morning - more interested in what everyone is doing than eating his breakfast. They are keeping him in, still on the drip and will ring us again tomorrow. Fingers crossed we may get him home in a day or two

Not been around the last couple of days as Taz, my Snow Bengal is very poorly. He was off his food on Wednesday as starting being sick. He didn't eat anything on Thursday so we took him to the vets. He was taken in and put on antibiotics overnight. He's still not eating today and the vets have done x-rays and blood tests which have not shown up anything.
My beautiful cat is now on a drip and some other meds tonight and tomorrow he has to go to the Liverpool University Vets Hospital for an endoscopy, and possibly surgery. The vets said that he is still as bright as a button and doing lots of shouting but there is now some blood coming up when he's being sick.
His sister Cassie, our brown Bengal keeps looking for him around the house - Altogether a very sad household at the moment.
We lost our Siamese cats in 2005 after many trips to the vets, overnight stays and being on special meds and drips and this has brought back all of the same sadness and worry that we had back then.
Here's a more recent picture of Taz .
I'll update this post when we get any more news, Fingers crossed the vets will find out what's wrong and fix it,
Alison x
