Posts: 465 (19/07/2008 16:07:50) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None Hi all you lovely sheenies I've just started a parchment card, believing i'd got all the coloured inks i needed, but it has come to pass that i'm at least two short, was three but managed to swop the colour. The two colours i need are sepia and orange. I have white, black, gold, silver, blue, red, yellow, green does anybody know if i can mix any of these to get these colours or where i might find some very easy to understand instructions. Have you tried the derwent intense pencils they are like inks when dampened and do loads of colours about £1.30 each ? . Sepia is a very pale brown could you try the yellow with a wee bit of black . I do hope someone can help.

I think red and green make brown, not sure, but why not experiment. Just try mixing tiny amounts and see what happens. Margaret x

Mixed red and yellow and the orange was lovely. Mixed yellow, black and a bit of red, looked ok on the plastic mixing palette but when applied seemed to have a golden tinge to it, but i still liked the effect. One thing is for certain this will definitely be a unique card, coz i don't know what the odds are against getting the exact same mixes again but don't think anyone will have exactly the same shades. Now just have to be brave and attempt the next step of the painting/colouring in, found it very hard as a kid to stay between the lines and nothing much has changed lol.
