Good Morning. Does anyone have the Epsom D92 with the CIS system and if so what do they think of the durability and print quality please.? Does it take card
stock and photocard happily? My old machine is running but not perfectly and I will need a replacement shortly. I have found this D92 on eBay and it looks
like a good buy. Advice gratefully received. Sandra

I cannot comment on the D92 printer but the ink carts are the same as for my printer so the CIS wil lbe the same. If you look at other postings, I have put that I have had some problems installing it. Once I got it working, I am very happy with the quality and the cost of it. I have printed out loads since it was installed in Feb. I have recently brought some more ink that cost me £10.00. I have used about 1/3 a bottle of the black & yellow. The blue & red have hardly gone down. I did look on ebay to see which one you meant but I could only see one seller listing D92 & CIS. - It might be more cost effective to purchase them seperately. Thank you for your comments Twinplums. I will chew it over. I am not absolutely sure I want CISS. I went on the back forum comments and a number of people
seem to have difficulty eg, Can't close the printer, air in the tubes, having to reset printer. I am no teccie and I would hate to have agro.
Called into our two rural town's computer shops and both recommended the Epsom DX 4050. Came home to the internet. Cannot find it anywhere. The search continues.(One of the shops had stacks of the 92s and did not even offer me one so that is out of the window). Sandra |

I have just read some reviews of the 4050 and it says it is a version of the DX 4000. It also takes the same CIS as my printer. but I have read a few times that it is heavy on ink use. If you really do not fancy playing around with your printer, based on my experience, I would not get a CISS. I dont mind having a little fiddle and I was ready to chuck it out. If I had brought the printer, it would be long gone, but as my hubby got it me with my laptop for christmas, I thought he would have a fit if I binned it. Other people have installed the CISS with no problems at all. I am glad that I persevered with mine as I can print to my hearts content now. WHen it does have a little hiccup, I just usually go through the motions of a cartridge change and it sorts it all out. Sarah xxx |
