Original Cricut or the new Cricut Create - which one ??????

Posts: 908 (20/07/2008 12:02:21) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None I want a Cricut and had decided that for what I want I don't really need the Expression so that left the Cricut personal so was browsing the net for best prices and discovered a new model has been released call the Cricut Create which is the same size as the personal but with five new features (which the Expression has - rotate, autofill, fit to page - can't remember the others ??) So the original Cricuts are coming down in price, around £180, and the new Cricut Create is about £238 so am wondering whether anyone has seen the Cricut Create in action and whether it is worth spending the extra for the new functions ????? Any help appreciated thanks Gail

Posts: 342 (20/07/2008 12:24:01) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	If you are going to be getting scal there's no point to having the posher one as scal does it all through the programme. I have the expressions and have never used any of the extras though. Dont even think I could tell you what they are now without looking at the book. The expressions is worth it if price & space isnt an issue, I use mine for exploding boxes & 5*7 shaped/OA cards neither of which will cut on the smaller one. With the new deeper blades (will cut chipboard in one go) more people will be wishing they could cut larger pieces. Being totally & utterly bone idle it's also nice to be able to put full a4 sheets on rather than having to cut to 6"

Posts: 908 (23/07/2008 12:45:35) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Thanks for the info, after some more digging I found out that Cricut-Create will be able to be used with Design Studio once the firmware update is put on the Cricut website so will wait a while before buying Design Studio and will have to contact SCAL to see if their software will be compatiable in the future for the Cricut Create.
