Hi sheenies
I was wondering if any of you are members of Alan & Barry's crafts and if so is it worth joining. I have only just found their website and they do seem
to have some good deals. Are they more reasonable that C&C as being a member gives 10% discount and free P&P.
Any info will be much appreciated.

I am not a member but have bought from them on occasoin...the only thing I have against buying from Alan and Barry is the length of time you have to wait for
your goods.

yes I was a member last year but as Margaret said you do have to wait a very long time for goods to come.
Do still go and have a look sometimes, but have not renewed membership |

I've ordered from them and it did take longer to arrive than most other craft retailers I've used. But they had something I couldn't find anywhere
else. I think sheenie towers has spoilt us all - my latest order arrived today and I only ordered it on sunday evening.

I am a member and yes, stuff does take a bit longer to come, but I have always found them quicker than C&C.

I was a member last year and they didn't take that long to deliver and had some very good deals. The Cd you get when you join is good for a laugh or to
watch instead of sleeping tablets. OOOOOOoooh sorry it's that time of the month.

Yes I was a member too. It didn't take to long for things to arrive. You can still order without being a member though. They have live web shows which are
quite good. It's worth having a look.

I became a member in the last month and for £10 a year it is a bargain and you get a discount and free postage on orders over £10 and a phone service in this
country.
Because all orders come directly from the suppliers, every order takes around 14 days which isn't bad. And also about the phone line, all the phone operators are crafters so they can help you with problems. I ordered the doble cd-rom of vintage belles and got 2 cd-roms of cd 2, we sent it back and have already had an e-mail saying they have recieved it back and have put in an order with the suppliers for a replacement. Also when Alan & Barry are presenting and demonstrating, they do joke abit but keep it to a minimom and consontrait on the demos and products. Andrewxxx

I wish you luck and hope you have better service than I did, waited three months for one order and seven weeks for another. I wont be renewing my membership.

I can beat that, waited almost 10 months for a particular rubber stamp. Lost count of how many enquiries I sent concerning it. Got it eventually but no
apology or anything at all for the long wait.

I'm not sure if I'm still a member or not!! Haven't ordered from them since I had to wait 6 weeks for one of the glitter girls boards when it first
came out Should have waited until Joanna got it in. Wasn't worth the discount I had to wait so long. Wouldn't recommend it at all. I've never
waited less than 3 weeks for items, even basic ones. Janet

I dont think that we should use this forum to make remarks about another Craft Retailer.

I am a member and have been since nearly the begiinig of the membership scheme. I have no complaints. Most of the items I have ordered have arrived within 7
days some even sooner and that includes items that have come from outside suppliers. A Joanna Sheene item I ordered from A & B came within 3 days. So as
said before no complaints here.

I had diabolical service and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. As for not mentioning it on here, Barry told me himself that they
neither checked out anyone elses forum, or had any interest in what anyone said about their service. To my mind, if they want to keep their customers, we
should receive at least decent service, and that includes answering emails, and apologies, the first I never received, the second was a VERY long time coming.

Just as a point of reference, I did pm the lady privately yesterday,before there were any replies on here, but when we were all waiting for the new boards to be delivered, lots of us on here complained, it was the subject of a few threads, we waited so long. |
