Colouring images!!! |

I wonder if someone could help me. I have purchased many download images and would now like to use the with my watercolour pencils and paints and alcohol
markers. Do i need to use special paper/card or a fixative so the ink does not run or smudge. I'm going away soon and would like to try some new
techniques.
Thanks in advance. xx Gail xx |

Most printer ink is not waterproof so you will not be able to watercolour successfully, one method you could try is colouring with good quality dry artist
pencils, or felt pens.

Hi Gail. I'm not sure about this. What I normally do is just suck and see cos all paper reacts differently to different inks and colours, etc. With them
being downloads can you not print mpre than one off and see what happens with different techniques.
The only fixative I know of is cheap hairspray when using chalks. Not sure about anything else. Enjoy your hols! Love Jill x |

I have downloaded images, printed them out onto a good weight paper, and I have used watercolours, also my waterbrush and waterpencils, maybe I've just been
lucky so far.

you can buy an A4 watercolour pad by Dahler, that will go through your printer,(hopefully) but do it on BEST so that it goes through
slowly.I also stamp onto water colour paper, lovely finish. I've never sprayed after chalking either, but I puff and blow a lot!!
